When it comes to the sound that’s achieved in Ben Khan’s newest single, “a.t.w. (against the wall)”, there are very, very few artists that can do it successfully. What makes the booming sound seemingly even more mysterious and unachievable is the elusiveness of the artists that create it. Truly originated by Jai Paul, who famously hasn’t really released anything since his album got “leaked” in 2013, Ben Khan encapsulates everything we’ve been craving for the past five years on “a.t.w. (against the wall)”. Some may view Khan as a copycat but, to me, it’s nothing but refreshing to hear another take on a familiar, yet very rare, sound. Granted,  the two share very similar branding and Khan also has a creepy website called The Foundation that’s way too similar to Jai Paul’s Paul Institute so the copycat claims do hold some water. Either way, Ben Khan’s “a.t.w. (against the wall)” is totally deserving of being called a certifiably Tasty! Jam. You can find it on our Spotify Tasty! Jams playlists for June.
