James Blake dropped the track on Zane Lowe’s show ahead of his album release this Friday.
Featuring Metro Boomin and the seemingly always-newsworthy Travis Scott, who just announced his plans to perform at the Super Bowl halftime show, the song brings out the best in all of the artists as they’re numbing vocals ring over some minimalistic production. The song shares some vibes with Blake and Scott’s previous collaboration “Stop Trying To Be God” and signals all good signs for the album to come this Friday, Assume Form, Blake’s first album in almost three years. The full tracklist has already been released and the album will also feature Moses Sumney and André 3000 so there’s a lot to look forward to. You can find “Mile High” from James Blake, featuring Travis Scott and Metro Boomin, on our Tasty! Jams playlists for January.
