Swipe right on this new song.

Recently Tim Atlas has been bringing on one Tasty! Jam after another and with his newest release, “Hold Up”, we also got an EP announcement, arriving on May 31st. On “Hold Up” Tim Atlas reflects on our current dating culture, all whilst pushing forward an incredibly stylish bass line and some dreamy synths.

Tim Atlas spoke about the track, saying: “‘Hold Up’ is about the paradox of choice in our 21st century, “swipe right” dating culture. I wrote this track about somebody who is constantly looking around for the “best option”, filtering out people for every little flaw while feeling lonely, insecure, and longing for connection. After noticing a friend in a new light, he realizes that the “best option” doesn’t exist, but there has been love in front of him the whole time. My favorite part of this track is the bass line. We don’t hear very prominent bass lines these days, so it feels refreshing to me. I was also inspired by Prince for the chorus and staccato guitar parts. Overall, this song and lyrics flowed out of me and I’m proud to share it with fans and as the final single off my next EP, out May 31st.”

Previously, Tim Atlas shared the certified Tasty! Jams “Dizzy”, “Color World”, which also featured Hablot Brown. You can find “Hold Up” from Tim Atlas on our Tasty! Jams playlists for April. Additionally, Tim Atlas announced a tour which you can find all the dates for below.
