UPDATE: The song got an official release as “That’s Life”!! 

In September we lost an icon. Mac Miller had just released his most adventurous album to date, Swimming, before his extremely untimely passing. Since his death, we haven’t gotten any new music from the Mac camp besides a pair of live tracks from his Spotify Session, but this supposed leak of “Benji The Dog” was well worth the wait. Recorded in 2015, it features a sample of “Benjie” by Valerie Simpson and displays Mac in an angelic state, rapping and singing over some super smooth production. It’s sure to either make your day or make you cry. You can find “Benji The Dog” on our Tasty! Jams SoundCloud playlist for May.
