Anderson .Paak’s band shares a posthumous verse from Mac Miller.
After a couple weeks of nonstop Mac Miller leaks we’ve finally gotten the first officially released original material from Mac since his passing (not counting the Spotify sessions). Free Nationals are most commonly known as Anderson .Paak‘s backing band but have been making a name for themselves lately with “Time” coming in as their second single following the Daniel Caesar and Unknown Mortal Orchestra-assisted “Beauty & Essex.” Kali Uchis takes the lead on “Time” with Mac Miller first appearing about a minute and a half in to deliver a jazzy verse that reportedly recorded in May of 2018, just four months before his passing. You can find the funk-filled jam from Mac Miller, Kali Uchis, and Free Nationals on our Tasty! Jams playlists for June.
