After teasing us with some incredible collaborative singles and a documentary about the making of the album, J. Cole‘s heavily anticipated collaborative project, Revenge Of The Dreamers 3, is finally here. Kicking it right off with an unnamed Kendrick Lamar feature on “Under The Sun” the album truly displays some of the wild creativity that was flowing during Dreamville‘s ten-day-long recording session that featured over one hundred different rappers and producers. Clocking in at over an hour long, Cole and his Dreamville crew really give you a taste of just about everything from their time in Atlanta. Featuring a mixed bag of big names and up and comers some of the juxtaposition of the voices on the record will keep you entertained on their own. Some of my favorites from the album include the opener, J. Cole, Kendrick, DaBaby, and Lute‘s “Under The Sun,” the hilarious “Wells Fargo” featuring JID, EARTHGANG, Buddy and Guapdad 4000, the JID-led and lead single “Down Bad,” and the Vince Staples feature on “Rembrandt… Run It Back.” You can find some of the collaborative tracks from the album on our Tasty! Jams playlists for July.
