uknowhatimsayin¿ arrives October 4th.

Danny Brown is still being Danny. The oddball rapper from Detroit shared a new song today, “Dirty Laundry,” as well as a nice visual to go along with it that features Danny playing a dysfunctional Detroit cab driver donning a fly yellow suit. Along with the new release came some details about Brown’s upcoming album uknowhatimsayin¿. Brown said in a press release “This is my version of a stand-up comedy album.” He continued, “Most of my close friends now aren’t rappers—they’re comedians and actors. So I wanted to create something that mixed humor with music. Something that was funny but not parody.”

Comedy album or not, Brown has recruited some big names to help him out. Q-Tip is listed as an executive producer on the album, with Brown noting “Q-Tip wanted me to go back to that ‘Greatest Rapper Ever’ era. I almost had to relearn how to rap again—an ego death type thing. He gave me this whole new outlook on music. I can’t go back to how I was before.” The album will also feature Run the Jewels, JPEGMAFIA, Blood Orange and Obongjayar, as well as production credits from Paul White, Flying Lotus, Standing on the Corner, and JPEGMAFIA.
