The pair followed last month’s collaboration with a chilly new single.
Alex Lustig has a very distinct production style. He’s able to make a song sound overwhelmingly full yet distant at the same time. Last month he shared his new collaboration with vocalist Makk Mikkael, “Shallow Breathing,” and now we’ve got another one from their sessions together. “Better to Be Lonely” feels like an atmospheric trap song, with heavy hitting drums cutting through the ambient echoes that make up the majority of the production as Mikkael’s vocals lightly glide over.
