The explosive duo shares a passionate new jam.
FARR have been quietly making some incredible music over the last few years and with the release of “Paranoid” they’re ready to take things to the next level. Vocalist Roméo and producer Linden Jay make up the fiery duo who are located across the world from one another with Roméo living in Los Angeles and Linden in London. An ocean in between hasn’t stopped the two from being able to create some amazing collaborations though, producing show stopping songs like “Blades” and “Reversible” and now delivering once again on “Paranoid.” Roméo had quite a bit to say about the song, providing some of the background for the song’s conception.
“A couple of years back, Linden and I were in London around Glastonbury weekend. We hadn’t seen each other in a few months and had a bunch of music to catch up on so we started a few new ideas. That same day my ex was going out with some of my friends for my best friend’s birthday and I had this pit in my stomach that she was gonna try to sleep with one of them. I spent the whole night in the studio freaking out, checking my phone every five minutes, and Linden started playing this organ in his studio kitchen. We started going back and forth and ended up with ‘Paranoid’, which is essentially about my incessant day to day worrying. It’s an anxiety anthem.”
Previously, FARR shared their cover of La Roux‘s “Bulletproof” and was featured on Hayden James debut album with whom they are currently touring. I caught FARR last year at their FARR House LA show, see some exclusive photos and video from the night here and find “Paranoid” on our Tasty! Jams playlists.
