Featuring slowthai, Clairo, Tirzah, Ellie Rowsell, and more.
Mura Masa is still blurring the lines between genres. The UK producer shared his sophomore album this week, R.Y.C. (Raw Youth Collective), and, surprisingly, it’s a very “punk” record for the normally dance-centric producer. Some of the singles like the Clairo featuring “I Don’t Think I Can Do This Again” and the slowthai assisted “Deal Wiv It” gave some indication as to the record’s rock roots but as a whole the album contains very little “dance” music and is a big leap from his 2017 self-titled debut.
